The Germany based event-tech company, hubs101 has used 250,000 webinars from over 17,000 companies to analyse the importance of webinars for event organisers. The research has found that the US, UK, Germany, Canada, and Australia are currently making the most use out of them. Henry Fuchs, the founder of hubs101, stated: “Unlike other types of digital interaction, webinars offer vendors a unique venue where they can have real dialogues with any size of groups.” The research found that software companies rely on webinars for business communication heavily, as they produced nearly a third of the webinars studied, followed by the finance and education sectors. Nearly half (46%) of webinars are for training, followed by purposes for corporate communications and marketing. More than 95% of the study participants witnessed the improvement in communication results by using webinars and a 49% uplift in the audience’s attention. Fuchs added: “Webinars are dynamic and interactive – attendees can ask questions, respond to quick polls and surveys, and get to know the organiser on a personal level. This type of interaction and attendee insights continually drives business growth.” Hubs101 also stated other key metrics as a guideline for webinar organisers, such as the best time to launch and advertise a webinar, the most popular interaction tools, and the common user behaviour during webinars.
