IAPCO has named Business Events Australia as its newest Destination Partner, in a two-year agreement spanning destination engagement, education and sustainability.
The partnership connects Business Events Australia with IAPCO’s global community of accredited professional congress organisers (PCOs), with plans for targeted content, educational programmes and knowledge exchange. The organisation will use the platform to promote Australia as a host destination for international association conferences and business events.
The agreement builds on an existing relationship. Business Events Australia has supported the IAPCO Sustainability Programme since October 2025, and that support will continue into years two and three of the programme, alongside the new two-year partnership.
Initiatives delivered through the programme so far include the launch of IAPCO’s Sustainability Strategy, the inaugural IAPCO Sustainability Award – presented at the 2026 Annual Meeting & General Assembly in Athens – and the IAPCO Sustainability Toolkit, a practical resource to help PCOs embed environmental and social responsibility into event delivery.
