The International Association of Professional Congress Organisers (IAPCO) has published its annual member statistical survey covering the previous year, 2023. IAPCO worked with the annual return data provided by members, who reported delivering over £12.15bn (US$15.22bn) of economic impact into destinations around the globe in 2023. In addition, the association has reported a 5% growth in its membership for 2022-23. Martin Boyle, CEO of IAPCO said: “Our annual reporting figures, based on data collected from all IAPCO members around the globe, show an increase in majority of areas including number of events delivered, number of meeting professionals employed and, importantly, the economic impact of the events delivered throughout the year. “Although these results are just a snapshot of the past year, the growth trend over the past several years is very encouraging for IAPCO, our members and our global meetings industry as a whole.”
