The European Aerosol Society has chosen the ICC in Birmingham for its European Congress from 29 August-3 September in 2021.
The Congress will welcome up to 1,000 delegates that will be using the venues auditorium, along with a number of halls to host an exhibition and various breakout sessions.
Sonia Mills, from The Aerosol Society, said: “We are delighted to be coming to the ICC and Birmingham for our 2021 European Congress.”
“We are excited about the transformation that has been taking place in Birmingham over recent years and we are sure our delegates will enjoy everything the venue and city have to offer,” added Mills.
Jonathan Reid, Local Organising committee chair for The Aerosol Society said: “We have already discussed with the ICC ideas around public awareness and legacy discussions that really help to drive engagement from European Associations with the event.”
ICC Associations account director, Linda Best said: “We are delighted to welcome European Aerosol Society to our venue, and to Birmingham. It was important that the destination chosen for the 2021 European Congress came to a vibrant city, and with the exciting developments taking place in Birmingham now and in the upcoming years, is a great fit with the team’s objectives.”
“Our location and connectivity was also important and we will be helping delegates explore Birmingham and the surrounding region during their stay,” added Best.
From small meetings for just a few people, to international conferences of several thousand delegates, the ICC Birmingham boasts 10 meeting rooms and 10 conference halls, including its flagship Hall 1 auditorium and the larger Hall 3, which can accommodate 3,000 delegates or provide more than 3,000sqm of exhibition space.
Furthermore, the venue hosted more than 350 events last year, accommodated over 300,000 delegates.
The NEC Group has launched three businesses that aim to take its expertise further afield: NEC Group International; MemoryHaus; and Eight Feet Tall, which is a specialist agency for the live events industry.
