ICCA has announced that AIM Group, together with Firenze Convention Bureau, has won the bid to host the 2019 ICCA Meeting Management Sector Client/Suppliers Business Workshop, which takes place in Florence, Italy, 28 February -2 March 2019.
The event will take place at the Firenze Fiera Congress & Exhibition Centre.
ICCA, the International Congress and Convention Association, invited members from both the Meeting Management Sector and the Destination Marketing Sector to present their candidacy as local host for a first-time workshop for only 15 PCO executives, together with a decision-maker from a carefully selected client.
AIM Group International presented their bid, together with the Firenze Convention Bureau, official partner of the Municipality of Florence. It was thought to offer this specialised audience an exclusive experience in the refined and renovated destination of Florence.
Francesca Manzani, business manager, AIM Group Florence Office, said: “After having served ICCA as Board Member for more than 6 years, I am fully aware of the Association’s focus on raising professional standards in the international meeting industry. So, being a vehicle of this educational strategy makes me feel extremely proud”.
Meanwhile, ICCA has named Kaohsiung, Chinese Tapei, on the island of Taiwan, as the host destination of its 2020 Congress. Kaohsiung follows Dubai in 2018 and Houston in 2019.
