The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) has always released its annual statistical ranking report during IMEX Frankfurt and says that, due to IMEX changing dates, it has decided to extend the submission deadline and offer members more time to send in their data for inclusion in the 2021 ICCA Destination Performance Index (the reinvented ICCA rankings). ICCA remains keen to find out how members’ 2021 events looked and the new statistical submission cut-off date is 1 March. The 2021 ICCA Destination Performance Index release will therefore be released during the 20th edition of IMEX in Frankfurt, 31-May-2 June. Last year ICCA decided to not include a destination ranking and took the decision to introduce the Destination Performance Index only for the 2021 statistics. This year’s approach, the association says, will comprise of a reformatted ranking report and its indexes will aim to act as key drivers for ICCA member destinations’ achievement and adaptability. ICCA is calling for collaboration and for members to tell the association what happened to their events. “Let us know if your events were affected or otherwise, paying special attention to the status below for a more in-depth analysis,” the ICCA appeal says:
- Unaffected – 100% F2F, in-person meeting, no hybrid element
- Digital – Virtual meeting, no in-person element
- Hybrid – Combination of digital and F2F
- Relocated
- Postponed
- Cancelled
