Iceland’s HARPA and Ungerboeck partner with cloud tech

HARPA Concert Hall and Conference Centre, in Iceland’s capital Reyjkavík, has partnered with event technology company Ungerboeck.

The venue, which opened in 2011 and has since welcomed more than 10 million guests, is using Ungerboeck for cloud-based solutions that will help it get an overview of its event business.

HARPA hosts over 1400 events per year, and will utilise Ungerboeck to manage various space types, including one concert hall and several multi-purpose spaces and conference and meeting rooms.

Andri Guðmundsson, Technical Director at HARPA, said: “Our situation required a change and I am glad we are now taking a step forward as we are aiming at better, streamlined processes as well as an improved global event view with the help of Ungerboeck’s cloud-based event software.”

Manish Chandak, President & CEO at Ungerboeck, added: “We are honoured to power Iceland’s flagship venue HARPA with our cloud-based event software. I am convinced that our experience in the field of performing arts and concert halls combined with our strong venue and conference management capabilities will help HARPA to bring their business to the next level.”
