International Bar Association gathers in Seoul

The International Bar Association held its annual legal conference in Seoul from 23-27 September.

Mayor of Seoul Park Won-soon and former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon were among those in attendance at the event, alongside 5,000 legal professionals from 120 countries.

The event made us of the city’s PLUS SEOUL support programmes and services for meetings. It was hosted at Coex, the largest meeting facility in Seoul.

PLUS SEOUL provides a wide range of support for international conferences, from bidding to hosting.

This includes a bidding clinic, promotion, site inspections of recommended venues, conference apps and other programs, plus the option to use locally trained multilingual operational event staff.

Seoul currently ranks in third place worldwide for the number of meetings hosted the previous year, according to the latest UIA International Meetings Statistics Report – a position it has now held four years’ running. Seoul also sits in 15th place in the ICCA city rankings.
