The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (the Centre), Asia’s first AIPC gold standard venue, has announced the appointment of Sudesh Sharma (pictured) as its director of operations. Sharma joined the Centre as the deputy director of operations and was key in the successful delivery of major international high-profile association and government meetings like the 62nd ISI World Statistics Congress 2019, and 29th International Congress for Conservation Biology 2019. In his current role at the Centre, Sharma oversees the operational aspect of primary functions, which include planning, implementing, monitoring and improving effective service delivery. Alan Pryor, the Centre’s general manager, shared: “We are delighted to have Sudesh as part of our senior leadership team, and it is just the right time as the Centre rebounds itself and advances to the next phase of business events that is heavily complemented by digital transformation, and as we continue to innovate and grow our food and beverage product and service offerings.”
