PROMTUR Panama, the country’s official destination marketing organisation, was busy at IMEX Frankfurt recently, showcasing the country’s modern Convention Center and MICE options in general. The key marketing point was stressing the ease of access and connectivity from North and South America, the Caribbean, and Europe. A new brand platform, ‘Live For More’ invites visitors to take full advantage of the country’s unique cultural benefits and tourism experiences. “We are extremely proud to increase awareness of Panama to the MICE industry as business and leisure travel continues in recovery phase. We offer planners significant assistance through a dedicated and knowledgeable sales and support team, modern hotel product, a wide variety of product and services and incentives to hosting or participating in an event in Panama, and of course opportunities to explore the country’s exceptional biodiversity,” said Fernando Fondevila, the PROMTUR Panama CEO. The Panama Convention Center, located on the Pacific Ocean at the entrance to the Panama Canal, has an exhibition hall of 15,400sqm, 16 meeting rooms with 2,400sqm, and as the largest in the region, occupancy of up to 23,000 people. There are 10 hotels in proximity to the convention center with their own meeting spaces for up to 1,000 people each. “Panama is an authentic destination with a privileged location, a bridge between the new and old world, and a country with an extraordinarily diverse ecosystem in culture, history, and natural beauty,” said Fondevila. ‘Live for More’ inspires planners and meeting attendees to add to their in-country presence with memorable and lasting experiences that can’t be duplicated elsewhere.” To learn more about Panama, visit https://www.tourismpanama.com/things-to-do/
