The Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) has announced the successful bids of the Malaysian Society of Colorectal Surgeons (MSCRS) to host the 20th Congress of Asia Pacific Federation of Coloproctology and 14th Asian Society of Stoma Rehabilitation Congress in March 2025. The state of Sabah has been chosen as the destination for these congresses.
Dato’ Sri Abdul Khani Daud, CEO of MyCEB, said: “We hope the congress will lead to not only networking among experts but, more importantly, innovation and research. Malaysia constantly aims to provide the best avenue for such congresses and will continue to express unparalleled support to our partner, the Malaysian Society of Colorectal Surgeons.”
Dr Luqman Mazlan, incoming president of MSCRS, added: “Winning a bid of an international congress is not easy and winning it for the second time is even more challenging. We will be proud to showcase Sabah as the destination for the congress which has world-class meeting facilities and a myriad of destinations for retreat.”
MyCEB hopes that the congresses will create a focal point that attracts major stakeholders, promotes the advancement of medical science, and create a lasting legacy for the medical community.
