Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) has made significant investments in technology, including new LED screens and AMX control panels. MCEC’s 5,500-capacity theatre Plenary has received a major overhaul with the installation of two ultra-modern LED screens. The new screens, which are 50% more energy-efficient, can double in size and feature flexible configurations, including a wide viewing angle. MCEC has also installed new AMX control panels in all meeting rooms, including premium spaces. The modern control panels aim to offer improved functionality, allowing presenters to control room lights, blinds, room temperature, speaker volume and music selections. The new panels also have a light-sensing feature. MCEC head of technology, David Strangio said the new state-of-the-art technology provides the “perfect backdrop for collaboration, knowledge sharing and transformative ideas”. Strangio said: “We source the latest technical innovations to deliver seamless and customisable events, leaving a lasting impression on attendees. We’re proud to work with industry-leading suppliers to take our tech offering to the next level. “Not only do we carry an extensive premium product range, we also have a team of professionals who have deep technical expertise and knowledge of our infrastructure. We’re proud to have such a diverse team who understand what it takes to partner with our customers to design and run a successful event.”
