MCH Venues appoints new head of business development and innovation in Basel and Zurich

Switzerland-based exhibitions organiser, MCH Group has appointed Christian Ortlepp, trade and congress specialist, as head of business development and innovation at MCH Venues in Basel and Zurich. Ortlepp has been responsible for developing new business models, partnerships and offerings at MCH Venues since 1 September 2021 and is additionally in charge of the systematic planning, management and monitoring of pioneering ideas. With the progress made on the vaccination campaign and the lifting of most travel restrictions, the MCH Group is planning for the future and says the appointment of Ortlepp, a graduate in economics and business, is a step in the right direction. His experience includes corporate development and sales at Messe Berlin, setting up and management of the Convention Bureau in Düsseldorf, and leadership of EMEA business at Simpleview, a provider for digital marketing and data analytics in tourism.
