The October 2020 edition of MCM London Comic Con has been cancelled, according to a statement released by organisers.
The statement said the “tough decision” had been taken “after many discussions”.
“It has become clear that due to the restrictions and guidelines put in place due to Covid-19, we would not be able to deliver the high quality experience you expect and deserve,” the statement ran. “We are heartbroken that we won’t get to spend a weekend with you at the ExCeL meeting your heroes and making new friends, but we will return and we will continue to create a safe and accepting space for everyone.”
Organisers promised to celebrate with Comic Con fans in August for a special digital event. No details have yet been released, however.
