It has been announced HYROX – the World Series of Fitness – will be taking place at MECC Maastricht for the first time on 23 January 2021.
HYROX is an indoor fitness competition designed for both amateur and professional athletes. Competitors at all events use the same course with up to 3,000 participants competing each time, with the athletes with the fatest times going on to complete at the HYROX World Championships.
A contract has been signed for the coming editions to also take place at MECC Maastricht from 2021-2024.
This is will mark the second ever HYROX event to take place in the Netherlands, putting Maastricht among the other destinations where HYROX has been staged, including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Berlin, London, Basel, Vienna and Amsterdam.
