From 1 to 3 October 2026, Maastricht will be the host city for the annual European scientific congress of the European Society of Breast Imaging (EUSOBI). With over 1,700 members (radiologists active in clinical practice, education or research), the association has taken previous editions of the congress to London, Berlin, Barcelona, Rome and Paris. The 2025 edition will be held in Aberdeen in September.
The successful effort to bring the 2026 EUSOBI Congress to Maastricht has been the result of the close co-operation with radiologist Dr Marc Lobbes and his strong regional network, in partnership with Maastricht Convention Bureau and MECC Maastricht. The arrival of the congress reinforces the ties between five leading medical institutions: Maastricht UMC+, Zuyderland Medical Center, Antwerp University Hospital, Leuven University Hospital and Aachen University Hospital.

By pooling knowledge and stimulating collaboration, this congress contributes to the further development of care for breast cancer patients.”
