For IT&CMA (26-28 September 2023), MEET TAIWAN organised a Taiwan Pavilion with the Taiwan Tourism Bureau. MEET TAIWAN recruited 16 domestic MICE-related businesses including professional conference and event planning companies, travel agencies, hotels, airlines, and other MICE-related businesses to promote Taiwan’s sustainable incentive travel itineraries and services at the event. IT&CM Asia, held in Thailand every September, attracted more than 400 international buyers this year. MEET TAIWAN collaborated with the “EXPO-TECH Program” and the Industrial Technology Research Institute to set up a holographic projection booth at the exhibition. Utilising holographic projection technology, Robert Yang, director of the Trade Development Division, International Trade Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs (TITA) recorded a video. By observing the video from different positions and angles, viewers saw the subject from various perspectives to replicate in-person viewing. Yang mentioned in his speech that Taiwan was honoured this year with the M&C Asia Stella Awards for “Best Exhibition Destination in Asia” and “Best Convention and Exhibition Bureau,” which reflects Taiwan’s competitiveness in the exhibition industry, and welcomed event professionals to visit Taiwan.
