Melbourne show overhaul AIMEing to deliver big returns for 2019

New Australia-based organisers of Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) 2019 say they have overhauled all aspects of the event (formerly organised by Reed in collaboration with owners Melbourne CVB), with new key strategies focussing on a positive return on investment for buyers and exhibitors alike.

New streamlined exhibitor packages guarantee 32 pre-scheduled appointments with buyers from across the world and a new pre-scheduled appointment (PSA) system is designed to match the preferences of buyers with the services of exhibitors.

“Our reimagined vision is founded on the need to drive business outcomes and is realised through challenging previous conventions and drilling down to the fundamental purpose of AIME – to build mutually beneficial connections between quality buyers and exhibitors,” said Jay Martens, Event Director, Talk2 Media & Events.

In a show first, all exhibitors and buyers will be given access to the Knowledge Programme, Melbourne Edge, which will provide content developed by the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE), and Meetings & Events Australia (MEA).

As well as plenary talks designed to challenge thinking, there will be intensive skill-based workshops with AIMEs first Hackathon and collaborative case study based workshops.

ICCA will also deliver their Business Exchange and SITE will provide content specific to the incentives and travel market.

MEA will deliver a two-day event management workshop programme taken directly from their Diploma of Event Management. The workshop will be open to current students of the diploma course and also offered to the broader AIME community.

“AIME 2019 has been curated to focus on the individual journey of all attendees. We’ve reviewed and assessed every aspect of AIME to ensure that buyers and exhibitors can measure a positive return on investment while also upskilling their personal development,” said Martens.
