Online meeting tool provider meetago will start 2017 with the implementation process of one of the leading hotel groups in Europe, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts. “We firmly believe in operating our own professional solutions, and this includes the meeting area. And this is something we are doing with meetago technology”, said a happy Francis Bertrand, Vice President International Sales at Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, when talking about the cooperation. Udo Lülsdorf, founder and managing director of meetago, emphasises above all the international aspects of the cooperation: “Both companies are driving forward their internationalisation activities in a determined manner. Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is currently represented in 25 countries and is expanding successfully. meetago has established an industry standard for purchasing event services in Europe with its online meeting tool and is swiftly expanding its international reach within the scope of the strategic partnership with HRS. The cooperation is therefore also proof of the significant importance of standardised RFP processes in an increasingly globalised MICE market.” Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has been using meetago technology since the beginning of the year on its global homepage. This enables all Mövenpick hotels to be queried and booked in a single RFP process. The meetago online meeting tool can be used by all visitors to the homepage, which means it is available to business customers, maverick buyers, agencies and private individuals. Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts currently operates 83 hotels. Following the opening of new hotels in Thailand, the Philippines as well as Morocco, Saudi Arabia and Qatar last year, two new ones are to be opened in 2017 in Dubai. The portfolio is to be increased by 50% over the next three years: by 2020 a total of 120hotels are planned.
