Uno Loco Group, experience and design agency, has acquired The Conference Company, bringing the two New Zealand-based event businesses under one umbrella. The acquisition was announced by Jan Tonkin, managing director of The Conference Company, and Blair Glubb, CEO of Uno Loco Group.
Jan Tonkin, a former president of the International Association of Professional Conference Organisers (IAPCO) and past Business Events Industry Aotearoa (BEIA) Board Member, will stay on for six months to support the transition, working with incoming CEO Thea Farrant Adam. The Conference Company, known for professional conference organisation, will now operate as part of Uno Loco Group.
