Global destination marketing association euromic has appointed ex-IMEX Group marketing chief Oliver Hone as its new Assistant Director.
Hone spent eight years on the management board at IMEX Group before taking a sabbatical break in December 2017.
“Oliver is a consummate professional who has a vast knowledge of the landscape we operate in, I’m really looking forward to working with him and I have no doubt he will bring much value to the association. I’m super excited to have him on board,” said euromic’s Executive Director Huw Tuckett.
Hone’s responsibilities at euromic will be to assist Tuckett in member and client relations, communications, marketing, and presence at tradeshows and other euromic events. euromic currently has 48 members in 53 destinations.
Hone told CMW: “I’m delighted to be joining euromic, as an organisation I admired from my time at both IMEX shows. The attraction was as much being part of the family – into which the members have enthusiastically welcomed me – as working with Huw [Tuckett]. The plan is to take the energy and strategic thinking he has, and lift the association even higher.”
