The last part of 2021 is proving to be a restart period for international event management specialists AIM Group International, which is reporting a reboot of in-person events including international conferences with large audiences.
From the end of August to December, AIM Group is managing 35 major events involving over 15,000 participants. Events are still taking place in virtual, but increasingly in hybrid format, with large in-person attendance.
Gianluca Buongiorno, president of AIM Group International, said: “We are experiencing an enthusiastic response to in-person events from association and corporate clients and from the delegates, happy to leave for a trip, meet their international colleagues face to face, exchange ideas, chat freely and strengthen new relationships in a safe environment. Safety is a major concern; all the protective and preventative measures are put in place”.
Major events, such as the European ESOT Congress 2021, have been taking place with 1,200 delegates in-person in Milan, joined by 1,400 delegates online. In addition, the Cibus International Food Fair in Parma, and other significant conferences are being planned across Europe.
Buongiorno added: “Since the pandemic, we have experimented with our clients and helped them pivot to new solutions, formats and technologies. We have had some stunning results, for example the SIAARTI ICare tour or FIMP House were recently recognised with international innovation awards… Faced with our new realities, we are committed to complete the transformation and push it forward, towards a new way of designing events and supporting clients. It is all about persistence, because after we geared up for the initial phase, now the challenge is to fulfil the entire process, despite the difficulties.”
