With Expo 2020 Dubai underway, Osaka is seizing the opportunity to step further into the spotlight as the city’s own Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai moves onto the event horizon. Osaka’s aim is to become Japan’s number one MICE destination and that aspiration is backed up by the Osaka Convention and Tourism Buerau’s (OCTB) creation and release of a new MICE promotional video showcasing Osaka’s vibrant appeal. The bureau has also designed the new Osaka Meeting & Event Planning Brochure for event planners considering Osaka as their next host destination. The new video, Osaka: Your Ideal Meeting & Event Destination, showcases some of Osaka’s primary venues and sightseeing spots, emphasising the city’s exceptional access, abundant meeting facilities, unique party venues, and high-class comfort and hotels. Take a look at the full video here and a 60-second clip here The new brochure is available in Japanese and English and can be downloaded here: Osaka Meeting & Event Planning Brochure A new catchline and slogan has also been adopted to tress the city’s ‘Wow’ factor, or ‘WaO’ to be correct (‘We are Osaka’). A city long known for its identity in building bridges, stemming from the city’s many canals where the earliest people built their livelihoods is keen to show how it can also facilitate connections. “Building bridges to create new ideas together is what we believe in,” is the message from the OCTB.
