The 9th Penang International Travel Exchange (PITE) 2026 is set to return, 27-29 October 2026, gathering key players from the global travel trade and Malaysia’s tourism industry for three days of meetings and immersive destination experiences in Penang.

PITE 2026 will take place at the Penang Waterfront Convention Centre (PWCC), with the programme combining 1.5 days of structured B2B appointments with a further 1.5 days of familiarisation activities across Penang.  This year’s edition is expected to welcome 100 buyers, representing a diverse range of travel trade segments including corporate, incentive and association buyers.

“PITE has evolved into an important platform for the tourism industry to connect, exchange ideas and create new business opportunities across borders. This year, we are particularly pleased to welcome a diverse group of buyers from both established and emerging markets,” said YB Wong Hon Wai, Penang State executive councillor for tourism and creative economy.

PITE 2026 is expected to feature 50 exhibitors from across Malaysia, representing a broad spectrum of the tourism ecosystem.

Beyond the B2B sessions, the second half of PITE will provide international buyers with first-hand exposure to Penang’s tourism products, cultural heritage, culinary experiences and destination appeal.
