Global wellness company QNET is wrapping up its flagship V-Malaysia 2025 convention in Penang. The five-day event ran from 21-25 June at the Penang SPICE Convention Centre.

More than 8,000 attendees from over 30 countries have travelled to the Malaysian island for the gathering. The event focuses on innovation, entrepreneurship and business networking.

This marks the 13th straight year QNET has chosen Penang as its host destination. The company works with event partner V Global Management, Tourism Malaysia and local convention bureaus to stage the annual convention.

**Economic impact**

The event highlights Penang’s growing reputation as a meetings and events destination. YB Wong Hon Wai, Penang State EXCO for Tourism and Creative Economy, said business events generated an estimated RM1.29bn economic impact for Penang in 2024, up from RM1.03bn in 2023.

“This is timely, as Malaysia’s role as Chair of the 46th ASEAN Summit is already accelerating regional interest,” Wong said. “Penang … has recorded an estimated RM1.29bn in economic impact from business events in 2024, up from RM1.03bn in 2023. QNET’s continued commitment to hosting its international convention here contributes directly to job creation, tourism revenues and Penang’s brand.”

Trevor Kuna, chief marketing officer of QNET, praised the destination’s infrastructure and support systems. “Penang offers a powerful combination of infrastructure, cultural appeal, and strategic support,” Kuna said. “Our long-standing partnership with Tourism Malaysia and PCEB has enabled us to bring V-Malaysia to life repeatedly and at scale.”

**Product launches**

QNET used the convention to preview new wellness products. These include Harmoniq, a bio-signalling patch, and QWIK, a new line of oral health and nutrition strips.
