IMEX Group has been ranked in the top 10 of the 2025 Sunday Times Best Places to Work Awards. The company, which employs 82 people in Brighton, UK, was placed in the medium-sized business category (50–240 employees). This marks the second year in a row that IMEX has made the list, rising from 25th place in 2024.
The announcement follows the successful close of IMEX Frankfurt’s 21st edition last week. IMEX employs 82 people and operates from purpose-built offices in Hove and remotely.
The company was recognised for its strong workplace culture, scoring ‘excellent’ in areas including happiness, empowerment, wellbeing and diversity and inclusion. In the survey, 99% of staff said they were proud to work at IMEX, and 98% said they felt cared for and would recommend the company to friends and family. IMEX’s Net Promoter Score was 92.
CEO Carina Bauer said: “I’m absolutely thrilled with this achievement. When you run a global business, you expect to hit bumps along the way. It could be geopolitical uncertainty, legislative changes or, as we all know, Covid. But our focus on creating and protecting a robust company culture means … we’ve flourished.
“I know some think it’s a cliché, but in my experience, a relentless focus on culture is the secret to consistently strong financial performance.” Bauer was recently named Businesswoman of the Year at the Sussex Dynamic Awards.
Founded in 2001, IMEX launched its flagship show in Frankfurt in 2003 and expanded to the US with IMEX America in Las Vegas in 2011. Its shows attract over 13,000 global delegates from 100+ countries.
