Trade suppliers not so welcome at AIME 2018 opening event

Trade suppliers will not be invited to the Welcome Event by organisers of this year’s AIME trade show in Melbourne, Australia.

Organisers are to restrict access to the 2018 Welcome Event to official exhibitors, hosted buyers, registered trade buyers and hosted media.

Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB) and Solution Entertainment will collaborate again on the event to be held 19 February 2018 at the heritage listed Ormond Collective by The Big Group.

The Welcome Event will act as the platform to launch Ormond Collective after refurbishments to the listed building and gardens.

The event will also be a showcase of Victoria’s festival culture (the city hosts 50 festivals annually).

Karen Bolinger, MCB CEO, said “We heard the feedback loud and clear so have changed the ticketing to ensure we are providing even greater benefit to our important exhibitors and trade buyers.”

“Solution Entertainment have proven that they have the capability, experience and energy to not only meet, but exceed the challenging brief we put to them,” Bolinger said.

AIME 2018 is the last running of the show under the Reed Exhibition colours. Show owners MCB appointed Talk2 Media and Events to management AIME from 2019.
