CHS Birmingham, a one-day exhibition is for anyone organising business events the UK’s Midlands, has extended its partnership agreements with both the ICC Birmingham and the Birmingham and West Midlands Convention Bureau ahead of the show’s arrival on 31 October. The ICC Birmingham and the Birmingham and West Midlands Convention Bureau were original launch partners of the show. Emma Cartmell, CEO and founder, CHS Birmingham, said: “We’ve always called Birmingham the centre of the UK events industry and we continue to be delighted by the warm welcome we’ve had since bringing our show here for the first time in 2021.” Donna Cunningham, conventions sales director, NEC Group, commented: “CHS Birmingham gives us the chance to shine a spotlight on both our venue and our city. “It’s a great showcase for Birmingham, and a chance to share the creativity and ambition that we have, not just 12 months on from the Commonwealth Games, but after some 100 years as the centre of the UK events industry and one of the most established event organising communities in the world.” Steve Knight, senior business tourism manager at the Birmingham and West Midlands Convention Bureau, added: “The West Midlands’ business events sector is bouncing back quicker than the UK average, with 8.3m delegates attending 81,700 events across the region in 2022, including in our major cities Birmingham, Coventry and Wolverhampton “We look forward to working with organisers and attendees at CHS Birmingham to ensure that they continue to pick our welcoming region, so that we remain at the forefront of the business events industry. CHS Birmingham provides a valuable opportunity to meet with the people who make events happen across the West Midlands.”
