IACC (the international association of conference centres) and Venues of Excellence have signed a strategic partnership, agreeing to share expertise and research, as well as member benefits including learning and development opportunities.
Venues of Excellence will support UK specific IACC guides and white papers, including its ‘Meeting Room of the Future’ report. The consortiums will also contribute towards each other’s annual conference events and open their respective learning and development academies to their collective membership base.
Stewart Elsmore, chairman of Venues of Excellence, said: “This strategic partnership with IACC is groundbreaking. Our respective organisations are built on encouraging and nurturing best practice within the meetings and events industry, both now and in years to come. We’re looking forward to working closely with the team at IACC for the benefit of our members and the wider sector too.”
Mark Cooper, CEO at IACC, added: “Many of IACC’s members in the UK are also members of Venues of Excellence, so it makes perfect sense for us to compliment and support each other’s initiatives. Just as IACC has similar strong relationships with national associations in central Europe, this partnership offers IACC the opportunity to understand what is happening in depth in the UK, and IACC can offer in return global perspectives.”
Venues of Excellence awards membership to high quality conference, meetings and training venues throughout the UK. In return, members can access a range of services including sales and marketing support, discounted access to specialist industry training from the Learning and Development Academy, 12 member events, an annual conference and promotion at industry exhibitions.
