Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) has been chosen to host the world premiere of Château Merveilles, an immersive experience combining the best of French cuisine with stunning audio-visual effects.
The multi-sensory experience is coming to Melbourne for one night only and will entertain more than 1,000 guests on 22 October. Pairing immersive 360-degree visuals with a four-course menu with champagne, an experience designed to celebrate the rich culture, artistry and culinary heritage of France.
Headlined by three world-renowned chefs, Guillaume Brahimi, Pierrick Boyer and Quentin Zerr, the menu puts the best of France on the plate while guests are transported to the country’s most iconic landmarks through panoramic visual projections. Melbourne hosts the first instalment of an ambitious world tour visiting Qatar, South Korea, Bahrain, and China.
“Our experience hosting The Lume Melbourne showed us first-hand the power of immersive storytelling. Château Merveilles will take this to the next level, creating a truly unforgettable dining experience at MCEC,” said Natalie O’Brien AM, chief executive at MCEC.
MCEC’s successful multi-year partnership with The Lume paved the way for this latest collaboration with French experiential event organiser, Allegria Agency.

To deliver the event at scale, MCEC’s culinary team will work closely alongside the guest chefs to prepare and serve more than 4,000 plates across the four-course menu.
Château Merveilles is supported by the French Government through the France 2030 initiative. Designed as a recurring international event, the experience aims to showcase French excellence across culture, gastronomy, craftsmanship, innovation and heritage to audiences around the world.
