‘World-first’ meeting planners’ platform launch in Sydney

A live corporate meetings management platform called cievents recently launched its online booking platform, cimeetings, at 12-Micron, a new venue in Barangaroo, Sydney, Australia.

cimeetings allows events planners to instantaneously book an entire event with a simple click, offering live reporting capabilities, budget transparenc. It also saves time for planners and procurement managers alike.

The launch (pictured above) coincided with Global Meetings Industry Day, and gathered 150 people at 12-Micron.

The launch included a presentation by cimeetings’ GM, Simone Seiler, on upcoming trends in the meetings industry, and a live demonstration by cievents’ GM of sales and operations, Guy Fisher (pictured below).

Seiler (pictured above) said: “A live marketplace will drive significant productivity gains, streamlining all components of venue sourcing, complemented with real-time reporting and financial visibility and management.

“This leaves more time for event professionals to generate that sought-after ‘return on experience’,” added Seiler.

The company claims the live functionality is a world-first, and not currently commercially available on any other platform. This platform is available to anyone looking to book meeting space at no charge.
