Germany-based social network Xing closed its EventManager business on 31 March, 2023. The closure follows a product and service review last year which resulted in Xing shifting from an online business network to a job community with a greater focus on career guidance. This closure affects all the event promotion products on the Xing platform, including event pages and Event Plus, along with its retargeting options such as personal event invitations and event reminders. The Xing Events team has advised clients to talk to any the new provider about the migration of their data and said the last financial settlement from Xing Events will be made with organisers in May. Organisers have until the end of April 2023 to log into their existing EventManager accounts. Further details and advice available here
