The organisers of Convene 2016, the meetings and events industry show catering for the Baltic Sea Region, are expecting an uplift in support for the show this year, with new partner alliances announced and an expanded education programme. More international organisations will be involved next year, organisers say, including airlines, meetings industry trade associations and trade media. airBaltic, Turkish Airlines, Lufthansa have entered into partnership agreements offering preferential terms for hosted buyers, while the International Association of Professional Congress Organisers (IAPCO) and the United Networks of International Corporate Events Organisers (UNICEO) are joining the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) and the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) in supporting the event. An international line up of speakers from nine countries is confirmed for the two-day professional education programme and event director Jolanta Beniuliene says: “This expansion of the international support for a Baltic Sea regional event is a growing testament to the range of destinations, venues, hotels, professional services this region offers to the international meetings and events community. Convene brings us together to showcase this great choice”. Convene takes place, 10-11 February 2016, at LITEXPO in Vilnius, Lithuania.
