The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) will bring their Drilling Conference and Exhibition to The Hague, 14-16 March 2017. The conference takes place at the World Forum and is one of the industry’s key annual events, renowned for its focus on technical content. The conference was held this year, 1-3 March in Fort Worth, Texas. The event alternates annually between Europe and North America and provides the opportunity for producers, contractors and service company professionals to meet and shares ideas on worldwide drilling operations. An exhibition, to run alongside the conference, will showcase the latest technologies, new product launches and industry services from around the world. The Hague has a large presence of global and local oil and gas companies and research institutes, and the city is the regional headquarters of many industry players. There are also many support services in the immediate region as well as the metropolitan area of The Hague-Rotterdam. “We are extremely proud that World Forum is the venue for the SPE/IADC Drilling Conference and Exhibition in 2017. The Hague’s energy sector (Oil and Gas) is one of the main business clusters of the city. It is fantastic to see that our local excellence and knowledge in this field gives a great community for conferences on this subject in The Hague,” said Kirsten Vosmer, commercial manager at the World Forum. SPE serves more than 168,000 members in 144 countries. The World Forum is managed by GL Events, which manages 40 conference and event venues worldwide.
