IBTM World is expanding its event technology offering at this year’s show, with a dedicated zone set to become one of the largest event tech showcases in the industry.

The show returns to Fira Gran Via in Barcelona from 17–19 November 2026. Its Event Technology and Services Zone will bring together more than 100 startups, 15+ investors and a range of established providers including Events Air, vFairs, ACS Audiovisual Solutions and Swoogo, covering event management platforms, matchmaking tools, attendee engagement, analytics, hybrid platforms and immersive experiences.

A new feature for 2026 is AI for Events – Demo Day LIVE, taking place on 19 November (in partnership with Boldpush). Ten companies – Advcy, CueForge, Event Flow App, Event Labs, Exhibitly, ExpoBooth, Highbar, Magipic, Memnto Photo and Uchop – will demonstrate practical AI applications across networking, event operations and more. The programme includes a dedicated AI demo exhibition area, lightning demo sessions and Future Stage content.

Also returning is IBTM Ignite, the show’s startup programme. Its first edition saw 35 startups pitch their business models to a room full of investors and interested industry professionals. The 2026 edition will welcome a new group, with 15+ investors on hand for one-to-one sessions and potential funding conversations.

Claudia Hall, show director at IBTM World 2026, said: “Technology has an important role to play yet knowing where to start and understanding what solutions can genuinely make a difference is often the biggest challenge. Our aim is to bring together the people, partnerships and practical innovation helping event professionals create stronger events and deliver greater commercial value.”
