Mark Taylor has been re-appointed to head the QEII Centre in London as chief executive. He had to re-apply for his job due to UK Civil Service Recruitment Principles. The CEO’s post was advertised to a 23 October 2015 deadline and at a salary range of £100k-£110k. Taylor has held the post for a fixed three-year term since being appointed in April 2013. Taylor has led the centre through three phases of a £12m capital investment programme, with further works planned for summer 2016 expected to diversify its event capabilities. Speaking of the chief executive’s reappointment to his job, Jacinda Humphry of the Department for Communities and Local Government, said: “I am delighted that Mark has been re-appointed as the chief executive of the QEII. Since his arrival in 2013 he has transformed the reputation, appearance and performance of the QEII. I look forward to Mark continuing his strong and successful leadership of the government’s flagship London venue.” The QEII Centre will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2016.
