Sherrif Karamat, president and CEO of industry associations PCMA and CEMA has announced the host destinations for PCMA’s  Business Events Summit (BES) through 2029. The multi-year commitment gives PCMA members with advanced visibility into one of the association’s signature education experiences.

Formerly edUcon, BES is an advanced, members-only education experience built for business events strategists ready to sharpen their expertise, solve real-world challenges and elevate their impact. The Summit features longer sessions, hands-on application and peer-driven problem solving. The aim is that attendees also leave with tools they can implement immediately.

The 2027 Business Events Summit will take place at South Lake Tahoe, Nevada, 20–23 June. The destination has undergone a transformation, with the newly renovated Caesars Republic and Tahoe Blue Event Center adding new possibilities for business events. “Where else can you bring world-class meetings, big ideas and a little mountain air together – with the Sierra Nevada as your backdrop? We can’t wait to welcome the PCMA community and show them what we mean by ‘Awe and Then Some’,” said Carol Chaplin, president and CEO, Visit Lake Tahoe.

Business Events Summit will then go to  Indianapolis, Indiana , 4-7 June, 2028, and Tampa Bay, Florida, 10–13 June, 2029.

The announcement follows the 2026 Summit in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, the first edition under the Business Events Summit brand and the first held exclusively for PCMA members. The programme combined advanced learning with philanthropy, as PCMA Foundation events raised funds to provide scholarships for business events professionals and the Heroes of Hospitality programme recognised local frontline excellence.

Securing destinations three years out allows PCMA to design each Summit with greater intention, the association said, aligning education, community engagement and destination partnership from the onset – while giving members and their organisations the ability to plan professional-development investments with confidence.

“Our members told us they want learning that goes deeper and stays with them, and Business Events Summit is our response,” said Karamat. “South Lake Tahoe, Indianapolis and Tampa Bay each bring something different, and each share our belief that business events strengthen communities. Securing these partnerships now means we can build three Summits that push our community further — and provide members with a clear path to keep growing with us.”
