Revving up a new, multi-year sales and sponsorship link for Manhattan Center conference

New York-based hospitality consultancy RevUp has reached a multi-year agreement with Play NYC to procure new sponsors and exhibitors for the annual game and developer conference at The Hammerstein Ballroom, within New York’s Manhattan Center entertainment complex.

Mike Fiorentino (pictured), president of RevUp said of the link up for the August event: “The large dimensions of The Hammerstein are the perfect fit for Play NYC as they move into their second year of this conference. Gaming – especially as it impacts eSports ­– is experiencing explosive growth. We are thrilled to partner with Play NYC as they take their gamer expo to the next level, provide sponsors a unique opportunity to connect with the right demographic and establish a great game location at the Manhattan Center.”

The 1,114sqm Hammerstein Ballroom space will be home to 30 industry speakers, 200 exhibitors, 1,000 developers and 8,000 attendees over the two-day conference.

Presented by Playcrafting, Play NYC is a dedicated game convention for creators and players and features the latest releases from studios large and small.

“The venue, along with our new RevUp Consulting partnership, is a very big part of what’s going to elevate this year from last year,” said Dan Butchko, executive producer of Play NYC and founder & CEO of Playcrafting.

“Last year’s venue was great, I think it was really the perfect launching point, but the Manhattan Center is the new home of Play NYC. They are passionate about growing the game community. They like the idea of being the home of New York’s only full-scale games convention.”
