Thailand has officially reaffirmed its readiness to host Gastech 2026, the world’s largest energy exhibition and conference, marking the event’s return to the country after 18 years. At Gastech 2025 in Milan, held from 9–12 September, the Thai delegation extended a warm invitation to the global energy community, highlighting Thailand’s world-class MICE infrastructure, cutting-edge venues, seamless connectivity, and renowned Thai hospitality.
The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy, is spearheading preparations for Gastech 2026, which will take place in Bangkok. The event is expected to attract over 50,000 attendees from 150 countries, including 1,000 exhibiting companies and 1,000 expert speakers, all converging to shape the future of energy across gas, LNG, hydrogen, climate technologies, and AI.
Dr. Pasu Loharjun, Chairman of the Board at TCEB, stated, “Thailand’s successful bid to host Gastech 2026 is a milestone achievement. It reflects our robust MICE ecosystem and our strategic commitment to using business events as a catalyst for industrial growth—especially in the energy sector. As a regional exhibition hub, Thailand is well-positioned to contribute significantly to global energy dialogues.”
Gastech 2026 will feature a comprehensive conference program, an expansive exhibition, and a premier platform for business engagement and knowledge exchange. The event is projected to generate an economic impact of approximately €385 million, including €198 million in national revenue, €38 million in tax contributions, and the creation of 4,700 jobs.
Bangkok, the host city, offers an ideal setting with its exceptional connectivity via Suvarnabhumi Airport, served by 113 international airlines, and its vibrant hospitality sector. The event will be held at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC), which boasts 70,000 sqm of versatile event space, including 10 exhibition halls, 6 convention halls, and 28 breakout rooms, all with direct access to the BTS Skytrain and over 50 hotels along the transit line.
Dr. Pasu added, “Thailand is ready to welcome the global energy community to Gastech 2026. With world-class facilities, rich culture, and a strong focus on future industries, we aim to foster collaboration and inspire innovation in shaping sustainable energy solutions.”
