Thirty city mayors to take part in May’s ChangeNOW 2023 event in Paris

ChangeNOW, an event devoted to the environment and sustainability, returns to Paris, 25-27 May 2023 for its 6th edition. The three-day summit will bring together 30 city mayors and over 35,000 of the world’s leading policy makers, entrepreneurs, investors, companies, NGOs and citizens to address pressing issues around climate, resources, biodiversity and inclusion. The event is part of the Sustainable Cities Programme and the mayors will  share experiences on topics ranging from urban resilience to the circular economy and connect with the startup ecosystem to identify sustainable solutions for their cities. Confirmed participating cities include Paris, Dublin, Brussels, Lahti, Budapest, Essen, Grenoble, Bordeaux, Rome, Nicosia, Rzeszów, Turin and Kingston. There will be 400 speakers including Kate Williams, CEO of 1% for the Planet; Omnia El Omrani, COP27 President Youth Envoy; Sandrine Dixson-Declève, co-president of the Club of Rome.Topics will include: biodiversity and moving away from a C02-only approach. The event, hosted across the Grand Palais Éphémère and other iconic venues including the Eiffel Tower, will also feature 1,000 innovative solutions for the planet, presented on stage by founders and entrepreneurs, as well as in the 8,000sqm exhibition area. The exhibiting and pitching solutions are selected based on four key criteria — positive impact, replicability/scalability, innovation and viability. We are excited to bring together the doers and leaders from all around the world to accelerate the deployment of concrete solutions.” ChangeNOW is a social enterprise that aims to accelerate the implementation of concrete actions responding to major environmental and social emergencies. Each year it organises the ChangeNOW summit.
