UBM EMEA CEO steps down

Simon Foster is to leave his role as CEO of UBM EMEA with immediate effect, the organiser has announced. “The decision to leave UBM was far from easy as I feel passionately about the business and its people. However after nearly 20 years I am ready for a new challenge. I think the Events First strategy is right for UBM and look forward to watching it realise its ambition of becoming the world’s leading B2B Events organiser,” said Foster. A process has commenced to address the change to the leadership and in the meantime, the EMEA leadership team will report into chief executive of UBM, Tim Cobbold. On the announcement, Cobbold said: “Having been with UBM for almost 20 years, in a number of different roles, Simon’s contribution to the company has been significant. I thank him warmly for this contribution and wish him well in the future.”
