The Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre will undergo a significant renovation that will see the venue’s largest space equipped with a new LED wall. The wall in the venue’s Hall 101 will have a width of 23 meters and an area of over 100sqm, making it Finland’s largest display screen in a conference room. The LED wall, which will be in use from September, will consist of three parts and will be able to display an image behind speakers and show a video or multiple images simultaneously. Hall 101 at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre hosts seminars, evening receptions and banquets, exhibitions, anniversary celebrations, annual general meetings and concerts. Its capacity extends to 1,100 attendees for seminar use and 560 gala guests for festive occasions. In addition to the new LED display, Hall 101 will undergo improvements in ventilation, enhancing opportunities for camera filming, and upgrading the ceiling lighting to allow adjustment of lighting colour and temperature. The stage of the hall and its stairs will be renovated. Marcus Bergström, director of the Messukeskus Events and Congresses, said: “This marks a significant leap in enhancing the experience and possibilities for events held in our prestigious hall 101, setting new standards for excellence in the industry.”
